» The following two Hawaii business leaders were appointed to the Salvation Army Advisory Board (Hawaiian & Pacific Islands Division) for three-year terms:

— Jan Kaeo, president and chief executive officer of Dale Carnegie Training Hawaii.

— Billie Takaki Lueder, an executive assistant to the chancellor and director of communications and external affairs for Honolulu Community College.

» Hawaii Preparatory Academy has announced that Robert McKendry is new head of the school. McKendry joined HPA in 2010 as a chief financial officer and served as the school’s business manager and treasurer on Hawaii island. He also held public accounting and financial management positions in the private sector in Hawaii, California and Michigan.
