Rainbow Wahine golfer Eimi Koga finished tied for 12th at the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational in her return to Washington.
Koga led the five-player UH lineup at 9-over 225 and closed the two-day tournament with a round of 7-over 79 on Wednesday at Sahalee Country Club in Sammamish, Wash.
Koga spent her first two years of college at Washington, the tournament host, and tied for second in last year’s event. She entered Wednesday’s play tied for fifth after rounds of 75 and 71 on Tuesday and finished eight shots behind medalist Bianca Pagdanganan of Gonzaga. Only two players shot even par or better in the final round.
Koga, the Big West Golfer of the Month for September, was UH’s top scorer for the second time this season and the Wahine placed 13th in the team standings.
