>> Cardinals second baseman Kolten Wong (Kamehameha-Hawaii, Hawaii) has slumped this month, batting .149 (10-for-67) with no extra-base hits and 10 strikeouts. Wong, who made his major league debut in August 2013, has never hit below .221 in any month in which he batted at least 40 times.

>> Twins catcher Kurt Suzuki (Baldwin) had three multi-hit games in a row last week, going 7-for-13 with five RBIs Tuesday through Friday.

>> High Desert second baseman Isiah Kiner-Falefa (Mid-Pacific) went 11-for-28 last week with seven runs scored, lifting his batting average 18 points.

>> Kannapolis outfielder Michael Suiter (Punahou) saw his hitting streak end at 23 games Monday in the seven-inning opener of a doubleheader. He went 0-for-2 with a walk and scored, then went 1-for-3 in the nightcap.
