Recent Punahou graduate Micah Ma’a had a team-high 12 points, including four aces, but it was not enough to lift the U.S. Boys Youth National Team against Brazil in a classification match of the FIVB Boys U19 World Championship in Resistencia, Argentina.
Ma’a added six kills and two blocks as well as 22 assists in the 25-21, 22-25, 25-15, 15-10 loss. Incoming Hawaii freshman Joe Worsley had six digs at libero.
The Americans face China on Sunday for seventh place.
