1,200 Waipahu customers lose power for more than hour
Some 1,200 customers in Waipahu were without power for about an hour and a half Friday.
Hawaiian Electric Co. officials said the power went out at about 2:30 p.m. and was restored to all but about 80 customers by 4 p.m.
Company spokesman Peter Rosegg said Friday evening that the electricity was restored by re-routing the power.
