The 35-year-old stepdaughter of Duane “Dog” Chapman entered a plea of not guilty today in Circuit Court to robbing a downtown bank earlier this month.

Nicole “Nickie” Gillespie, who gave no home address when she was arrested, is charged with second-degree robbery.

The Circuit Court trial for Gillespie, whose criminal record includes 18 felony convictions for theft and forgery beginning in 1999, will begin the week of Nov. 30.

She was arraigned by closed circuit video from Oahu Community Correctional Center where she is being held, unable to post bail of $40,000.

CrimeStoppers Honolulu released a surveillance photo earlier this month of a woman who robbed the Territorial Savings Bank on 1100 Bishop St. on Sept. 3.

Police arrested Gillespie on North Vineyard boulevard near Foster Botanical Garden at about noon Sept. 20.

Gillespie is the daughter of one of Duane Chapman’s ex-wives and is not related to him by blood, according to Chapman. Chapman starred in the A&E TV series “Dog the Bounty Hunter.”
