Police and paramedics were summoned Friday morning to Makaha, where of a 65-year-old man was reported on the beach near the water’s edge.
Police got the emergency call at 8:38 a.m. and turned over the body to the city Medical Examiner’s Office to determine cause of death.
The case has been classified as an unattended death. No foul play is suspected.
Woman treated after house fire in Kalihi
An 81-year-old woman was treated by paramedics for smoke inhalation after a fire was reported Friday at a home near Bishop Museum in Kalihi.
Firefighters received the alarm at 9:45 a.m. and reported the fire under control 13 minutes later.
Thirty-one firefighters responded to the alarm at 1506 Bernice St.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
There was no immediate information on the extent of damage.
