Man tries to stop suicide, falls to his death
BARRY MARKOWITZ / SPECIAL TO THE STAR-ADVERTISER
A four-vehicle crash sent several people to the hospital Sunday and backed up traffic along Kalanianaole Highway. Two SUVs, a pickup truck and a car were involved in the 3:15 p.m. accident near Laukahi Street. The truck ended up on its side, and a RAV4 rolled and stopped right-side up. A 17-year-old girl and three men — ages 18, 20 and 21 — were taken in stable condition to a hospital. An 18-year-old man refused treatment. The road was cleared about an hour later.
