A man, believed to be in his 70s, was in critical condition in the hospital after he was found unresponsive at Kailua Beach Park Friday morning.
Paramedics said he was paddling a one-man canoe before he was found in the water at 8:26 p.m.
They treated and took him to the hospital in critical condition.
