Police seek help in investigation of Captain Cook murder
Hawaii County police are asking for the public’s help in finding the person who struck and killed a 69-year-old Holualoa man whose body was found Aug. 9 in a coffee field in Captain Cook.
Police on Friday identified the victim as Dolores Borja Valle.
An autopsy showed that he died from sharp and blunt force trauma to the head, and the manner of death was a homicide.
Valle’s body was found in a coffee field off Keopuka Mauka Road. His truck, a white 2014 Toyota Tacoma, was later recovered in Kau.
Police are continuing to investigate this case as a murder.
