Kona man charged with meth trafficking
A Kona man has been charged with methamphetamine trafficking and other offenses after being found with the drug on Alii Drive in Kailua-Kona.
Friday afternoon (August 7), Vice Section officers served a search warrant on 54-year-old James Busche of Kailua-Kona on Alii Drive. They recovered 92.7 grams of a crystalline substance, 7.8 grams of a dried green leafy substance, paraphernalia associated with methamphetamine use and $632 in cash.
Busche was taken to the Kona police cellblock.
At 10:30 a.m. Saturday he was charged with meth trafficking, promoting a detrimental drug and possessing drug paraphernalia. His bail was set at $261,000.
