Water-main break diverts Pensacola traffic
Traffic on Pensacola Street was being diverted Wednesday after an 8-inch water main leak at the Waimanu Street intersection.
The Board of Water Supply is investigating.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area or to use an alternate travel route.
Two high-rise buildings were without water service because of the leak, which was reported at 2 p.m.
The Board of Water Supply said repairs were expected to last overnight Wednesday into Thursday.
Until then, all lanes on Pensacola must turn right onto Waimanu Street. All left-turn lanes onto Waimanu Street are closed.
