A 29-year-old Honolulu man pleaded guilty Tuesday to second-degree prostitution in a plea agreement for a 10-year prison sentence.
Deante Nelson-Williams is scheduled to be sentenced by Circuit Judge Collette Garibaldi on Oct. 7.
Nelson-Williams entered the plea in return for the Honolulu prosecutor’s office agreeing to dismiss a charge of first-degree prostitution, which carries a 20-year sentence.
Prosecutor Keith Kaneshiro said, “Another pimp is going to prison for a long time, and the message should be clear to all traffickers that this office is specifically targeting those who profit from sexual exploitation and that they could be next.”

All future detonations will be done during a normal business week, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
