Police say suspect threatened officer with knife
Police arrested a 37-year-old man who allegedly threatened a Honolulu police officer with a knife at a downtown park.
Police said an officer was arresting the suspect for being in a park after hours, when the man allegedly resisted arrest and threatened to kill the officer and his family Friday night.
The suspect also said he had a weapon in his bag and reportedly threatened to use it to hurt the officer.
Police arrested the man for terroristic threatening and resisting arrest, in addition to being in a park after hours. The offense was later reclassified to harassment.
