Sensley scores 33 in Summer League semis
Julian Sensley scored 33 points to lead Wealth Strategy Partners in a 94-86 upset of defending champion Solar Universe in the College Summer League semifinals on Thursday night at Maryknoll’s gym.
In the other semifinal, top-seeded Central Medical Clinic rallied from an eight-point halftime deficit to defeat Clark Hatch Fitness 85-67 before a crowd of about 500. The championship is 7 p.m. Saturday at Maryknoll. Admission is free.
Sensley, a University of Hawaii alumnus, took control in the second half of his semifinal with two difficult 3-pointers.
"From the start, I wanted to pace myself. I took some bad shots early, just trying to find a rhythm," Sensley said. "They did a good job of collapsing on me, making me pass out, kind of force bad shots. I was able to adjust in the second half and kind of take over."
