Cause of Lanai house fire is undetermined, firefighters say
The cause of a $350,000 Lanai house fire that also destroyed three vehicles, including a new Hummer, Saturday was undetermined, firefighters said Monday.
The area of origin of the fire that started about 7:45 a.m. Saturday has been identified generally as the garage, said Maui fire Capt. Paul Haake.
Damages were $250,000 to the structure, $50,000 to its contents and $50,000 to miscellaneous vehicles within the property including the Hummer, Haake said.
There were no injuries.
