Shubert among the QB Club speakers

Professional tennis player Thomas Shubert, who is also a coach and a journalist for InsideOut Sports Entertainment, is one of two speakers for Monday’s Honolulu Quarterback Club meeting.

The other speaker for the 11:30 luncheon at the Maple Garden restaurant is David Uchiyama, the vice president of brand management for the Hawaii Tourism Authority.

Dolan advances to K1 B final

Kailua’s Ryan Dolan finished in fourth place in his under-23 K1 200-meter kayak semifinals at the ICF Junior and Under-23 Sprint World Championships on Saturday in Welland, Ontario.

Dolan was 2.413 seconds behind the first-place finisher, but still advanced to the B final, just 1.033 seconds away from a berth in the A final.
