Take the kiddies out for a free smoothie at Jamba Juice from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at all locations except the University of Hawaii and Financial Plaza.

Enjoy the flavors of West Sumatra
Back by popular demand at 6 p.m. Saturday at Lemongrass Café is a pop-up dinner of chef Hana Hudson’s West Sumatra cuisine.
Dishes include soto padang, vermicelli with beef; sayur kapau, curry-spiced cabbage and long beans; green chili, green pepper and green tomato with fried anchovy; saos gulai ayam, chicken curry with jackfruit; beef rendang padang, beef with lemongrass, ginger, spices and coconut milk.

Learn how to pickle from the Pickle Lady
Learn to pickle everything from produce to meat and fish at "Pickles, Pickles, Pickles," a July 31 class led by Leonora Ching, known as the Pickle Lady.
