Police arrest boy for allegedly assaulting detention center worker
Police arrested a 13-year-old boy Wednesday for allegedly assaulting a juvenile detention center worker in Kapolei.
Police said the boy was being held at Hale Hoomalu and allegedly assaulted a worker at about 9:50 p.m.
Police arrived and arrested the boy for third-degree assault. The incident was later reclassified to second-degree assault, police said.
