Crash leaves girl, 16, in critical condition
A 16-year-old girl was in critical condition Saturday after crashing a vehicle into a tree in Aiea, paramedics said.
The crash happened about 1:50 p.m. on Hapaki Street, police said.
The driver of a 1995 Honda Civic was traveling southbound on Hapaki Street when she veered left, side swiped a mailbox and collided into a tree, police said.
She was taken to Queen’s Medical Center in critical condition.
Police do not believe speed or alcohol contributed to the collision.
