Police have charged a 43-year-old man with escape after he was arrested for failing to return as scheduled from a work furlough assignment.
Police said Jason Gomes was considered an escapee when he did not return as scheduled on July 6. He was located at a downtown homeless shelter and arrested on Thursday.
Gomes was charged Friday with second-degree escape. His bail was set at $20,000.
