Puna man charged with attempted murder in spear gun shooting

Hawaii County detectives have charged a 49-year-old Puna man for allegedly shooting a spear gun at a 20-year-old Puna man in the Leilani Estates subdivision.
George Robert Curnutt was charged Thursday night with second-degree attempted murder. He is being held at the Hilo police cellblock in lieu of $500,000 bail .
The incident occurred Tuesday night.
