Walk raises lung cancer awareness
The American Lung Association is hosting Honolulu’s inaugural Lung Force Walk on Nov. 16 on Magic Island as part of a national campaign to raise awareness about lung cancer as the No. 1 cancer killer of women in the U.S.
Two walk routes will be offered: The full walk is approximately 2.5 miles; a shorter Heroes’ Lap is three-tenths of a mile.
The event includes live entertainment, keiki activities, information tents, prizes and more.
Registration and festivities begin at 8 a.m., with the Lung Force Walk getting underway at 9 a.m. Magic Island at Ala Moana Beach Park is the start and finish point.
