Hawaiian Airlines has appointed Sheri Lee to director of recruitment. She was previously a client services group manager for Kamehameha Schools Kapalama.

University of Hawaii at Manoa Shidler College of Business has recognized five people who were selected for their contributions to their profession, community and to the Shidler College of Business: 

» Roland Casamina is the president and chief executive officer of House of Finance.

» Curtis Freeze is the chief executive officer of Prospect Asset Management.

» James Lee is chief executive officer of KB Lee Corp. and UH regent emeritus.

» Gina Mangieri is a reporter for KHON and founder of the Cole Academy.

» David McClain is a professor and UH president emeritus.

Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort announced Brooke Tadena has rejoined its culinary staff as an executive banquet chef. His experience includes serving as an executive sous chef at the Moana Surfrider, banquet chef/chef garde manager at Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort, food and beverage manager at Leeward Bowling Center, sous chef at the House Without a Key at Halekulani, executive sous chef for the Hanohano Room at Sheraton Waikiki and executive sous chef at the Kahala Mandarin Oriental Resort.
