T-Mobile restored for Hawaii customers after outage
T-Mobile crews have restored service to Hawaii customers after a brief power outage at one of its facilities Sunday morning, a technical support representative said.
The outage was reported just before 9 a.m. and impacted the Hawaii market, the technician said shortly after noon. Service was restored to customers around 1:40 p.m.
The problem began when power stopped reaching a switch, which routes numbers for calls, leading to statewide problems. The location of the switch was unknown.
It wasn’t immediately clear what caused the power outage, he said. It’s unsure if the outage is related to Hurricane Ana.
