Warriors could change starting quarterback
Senior quarterback Taylor Graham took reps with the No. 1 offensive unit during Tuesday morning’s University of Hawaii football practice, an indication that the Warriors might be open to expanding his role or changing the team’s starting quarterback.
Ikaika Woolsey, a third-year sophomore, has started the Warriors’ first five games. But Woolsey has been inconsistent, completing less than 50 percent of his throws.
After five nonconference games to open the season and a 1-4 record, the Warriors will play Wyoming Saturday in a Mountain West Conference game at Aloha Stadium.
Graham transferred from Ohio State in January 2012. He redshirted that year, and started the first three games of the 2013 season. He suffered an injury to his left (non-throwing) shoulder in the third game against Nevada and played sparingly after that. He underwent surgery during the offseason.
Although he participated in spring training, he was not fully healthy until his past summer.
