» Hawaii County police remain in their Pahoa substation but have established a temporary second substation inside portable structures set up by the Hawaii Air and Army National Guard on Pohiki Road. A Page A1 story Wednesday reported that police had abandoned their current substation.

» Deputy sheriffs evicted six families from undeveloped land managed by the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands on Wednesday. A news story Thursday reported the families were evicted Monday and from homestead land, which is land designated for residental use.
