Police on Thursday seized a black Chevy Tahoe believed to have been involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash Wednesday night on the H-1 freeway. The SUV was damaged, and motorcycle parts were found in the vehicle’s front grille.

Honolulu Police arrested a 40-year-old Kalihi woman Thursday night in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash on the H-1 freeway the day before.

Lt. Walter Ozeki of the Criminal Investigation Division said the woman turned herself in at the Honolulu Police Department’s main headquarters at 10:30 p.m.

Police arrested her on suspicion of second-degree murder and contempt.

The fatal crash occurred at about 10 p.m. Wednesday in the town-bound lanes of the H-1 freeway near the Kunia onramp.

Keith Jantoc, 25, of Mililani was taken in critical condition to a hospital and died.

Autopsy results are pending.

Police are trying to determine whether a sport utility vehicle deliberately struck Jantoc, who was operating a motorcycle.

After receiving a call Thursday morning about a suspicious vehicle near Oahu Urban Garden Center, police recovered a black Chevy Tahoe with motorcycle parts lodged in its front grille at a parking lot near the ce1nter in Pearl City.

A photo of a similar black Chevy Tahoe posted on the suspect’s Facebook page in August has the same license plate as the SUV seized by police.
