Island Air to suspend interisland flights

Island Air ended the year with a loss of $3 million.

Island Air is suspending flights between Honolulu and both Maui and Lanai beginning Saturday afternoon and all flights, including Honolulu-Kauai service, on Sunday due to approaching Tropical Storm Ana.

The following are the final Maui and Lanai flights on Saturday:

Honolulu-Maui: Flight 424 departing Honolulu, 11:02 a.m.

Maui-Honolulu: Flight 427 departing Maui, 12:14 p.m.

Honolulu-Lanai: Flight 304 departing Honolulu, 9:50 a.m.

Lanai-Honolulu: Flight 303 departing Lanai, 10:50 a.m.

Flights servicing Kauai will remain suspended until Monday afternoon.  Kauai service restarts beginning with flight 427 from Honolulu to Lihue departing 1:35 p.m., and flight 456 from Lihue to Honolulu departing 2:47 p.m.

 Guests ticketed for travel on Island Air from Friday through Monday will be permitted to change their flight online without charge at www.IslandAir.com, or by contacting reservations at 1-800-652-6541. The reservations department will maintain extended hours of 6 a.m.-9 p.m. Thursday through Sunday, returning to 7 a.m.-6 p.m. on Monday. Changes must be made prior to the departure of originally scheduled flights.

 Guests booked to travel on Island Air are encouraged to check on the time status of flights by visiting the flight status page at http://flightinfo.islandair.com. Further notifications will be posted on the Island Air website and social media channels.
