OCCC inmate back in custody after turning himself in
Work furlough prisoner Isaiah Kaisa is back in custody after turning himself in at 3 p.m. Monday, the state Public Safety Department said.
State sheriffs and Honolulu police had been looking for the 27-year-old Oahu Community Correctional Center inmate since he failed to return from a work furlough early Sunday morning.
Kaisa was serving time for forgery, ID theft, unauthorized entry in to a motor vehicle and a firearms violation. He was scheduled for a parole hearing in June.
The department says Kaisa will now face an escape charge.
