Hawaii properties for sale to reach more eyeballs
Hawaii real estate listings will have a much broader audience now via real estate- and home-related web portals Zillow and Trulia.
Hawaii multiple listing service company HiCentral MLS Ltd. has become one of nearly three dozen multiple listing services to send real estate listings directly to Zillow and Trulia in the past week, according to an announcement Friday.
“The momentum continues to build,” said Errol Samuelson, Zillow Group chief industry development officer, in a statement. “The industry has been incredibly supportive in working with us to create direct listing feeds, for the benefit of brokers, agents, home buyers and sellers,” he said.
The number of MLS services sending the web portals a direct feed have “skyrocketed,” he said.
The agreements will get the services’ listings in front of many more potential buyers than before, according to Cantey Davis, president of First Multiple Listing Service in Georgia.
“We wanted our members to be confident that they have a guaranteed way to get their listings on to the portals that millions of home shoppers are visiting,” he said, in a statement. The agreement with Zillow Group “gives our brokers control over their data, but still makes marketing their listings simple.”
