Maui firefighters and Coast Guard personnel were continuing their search off Lanai for Molokai fisherman Ron Ingraham, who was reported missing Friday, a few months after he was rescued after surviving 12 days at sea.

The Coast Guard received a mayday call from the fishing vessel Munchkin, which capsized at 12:12 a.m. Friday about a mile west of Lanai, according to the Coast Guard. A Coast Guard helicopter crew located and rescued fisherman Kenny Corder at 3:20 a.m. but were unable to locate his fishing companion, Ingraham.

On Saturday, firefighters unsuccessfully searched near-shore water with rescue boats, with a helicopter providing visual air support.

A dive team performed underwater searches.

Firefighters were to resume their search Sunday.

The Coast Guard also searched for Ingraham off Lanai on Saturday and was to continue the operation overnight Saturday.

The cutter Kiska, a 110-Island class patrol boat home-ported in Hilo, a 45-foot response boat crew from Station Maui and an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Air Station Barbers Point were involved in the search for Ingraham.
