Coast Guard looking for missing mariners

The U.S. Coast Guard rescued a fisherman and is looking for at least two other mariners missing in separate incidents south of Oahu and off of Lanai.
The fishing vessel Munchkin, with two people aboard, reported running aground on rocks about one half a miles west of Lanai at 12:12 a.m.
A Coast Guard MH-65 Dolphin helicopter recovered one survivor in the water about 3:20 a.m. He was taken to Maui Memorial Hospital.
The Coast Guard Cutter Kiska, a 45-foot response boat from Station Maui and the MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew are searching for the second missing man in 3- to 4-foot seas.
A separate search also continues for at least one sailor from the vessel Kolea who sent out a mayday call over VHF channel 16 at 6:37 a.m. Thursday. The mariner reported his boat was flooding about 10 miles south of Honolulu Harbor.
Officials said they don’t know how many people were on board the boat. They also don’t know what the vessel looks like.
