Man arrested for alleged kidnapping

Police arrested a 37-year-old homeless man Wednesday for allegedly kidnapping a woman in Waianae in June.

The woman, 30, told police the man entered her vehicle at about 7:30 p.m. June 15 without her permission and held her against her will, police said. The woman said the man also allegedly assaulted her and threw a rock through the driver’s side window, shattering it, police said.

Police arrested the man Wednesday on suspicion of kidnapping, first-degree unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and first-degree criminal property damage.
