Body of male found floating off Pier 24 near Iwilei
The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office will perform an autopsy Friday on the body of a male found floating Thursday afternoon in ocean waters near Pier 24 in Iwilei.
Police said harbor police assisted the Fire Department in bringing the unresponsive person to shore, where he was pronounced dead.
Police said the discovery was made at about 1:20 p.m. in the area off Nimitz Highway.
The case is classified as an unattended death.
