Former Drug Court clerk charged with theft after using program gift cards
An Oahu Family Drug Court clerk charged with theft is accused of using a $930 gift card purchased for program participants for personal use.
Filo Lise Atuatasi-Pouono was charged with second-degree theft, a class C felony punishable by up five years in prison and a $10,000.00 fine, according to the Attorney General’s Office.
A complaint was filed against her alleging that between May 31 and October 31 last year, she used K-mart gift cards with a cash value of $930 for her personal use. The gift cards were purchased by the Judiciary as rewards for drug court participants, according to a press release.
Atuatasi-Pouono is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday at 9 a.m. before Circuit Court Judge Richard K. Perkins.
