Two injured when truck flips on H-1 freeway

Two people were injured Thursday afternoon after the vehicle they were riding in flipped over in an eastbound H-1 freeway lane near the Kaahumanu Street overpass in Waimalu.
Paramedics transported both vehicle occupants to a hospital, according to an Emergency Medical Services report.
A man, 39, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was in critical conditiion after being ejected from the vehicle. A female, 42, who also was not wearing a seatbelt but was not ejected, was in serious condition.
Authorities said the truck they were riding in blew a tire and rolled over on the freeway. Honolulu Fire spokesman Capt. David Jenkins said firefighters responded to the scene of the accident at about 2:45 p.m.
