Iraq veteran indicted in beating death of Vegas neighbor
LAS VEGAS >> A Navy veteran who served in Iraq has been indicted on a murder charge in the beating death of a neighbor in Las Vegas.
Gambino Granada-Ruiz was indicted by a Clark County grand jury in the death of 34-year-old Dearold Doolittle at an apartment complex where they lived.
Granada-Ruiz is accused of repeatedly punching Doolittle in the face in March 2014 in a parking lot of the Hampton Court Apartments. Dootlittle died in December.
KLAS-TV of Las Vegas reports Doolittle lived with his fianc? and her children in an upstairs unit and Granada-Ruiz lived below.
Prosecutors say Granada-Ruiz had complained the children were too noisy.
Granada-Ruiz, who has no prior criminal history, is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
