Head-on crash near Kaaawa puts 4 people in the hospital
An apparent head-on collision sent four people to the hospital and closed Kamehameha Highway near Kahana Bay for about two hours early Sunday, according to police and ambulance reports.
Paramedics took a 35-year-old man, 15-year-old boy, 18-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman to the hospital following the crash at about midnight Saturday, according to an Emergency Medical Services report.
Police re-opened Kamehameha Highway in both directions by about 2 a.m.
Kailua resident arrested after man stabbed in thigh
A 43-year-old man is in police custody after allegedly stabbing another man in the leg Sunday morning in Kailua.
Police said the suspect and victim know each other and were arguing at about 6 a.m. when the suspect stabbed the victim in the upper thigh.
The victim was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.
Police arrested the suspect shortly afterward at his home on Akialoa Place on suspicion of first-degree assault.
