Man is hospitalized after near-drowning
A 38-year-old man was taken to the hospital in extremely critical condition Saturday after an apparent near-downing at Malaekahana.
Emergency Medical Services said the incident happened at 3 p.m. at Malaekahana State Recreation Area. No other details were available.
Suspect charged in Waianae car break-in
An 18-year-old man was charged Friday with breaking into a vehicle in Waianae.
James Borling-Salas, who did not give police an address, was charged with unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle. His bail was set at $11,000.
Police said a 29-year-old woman came home and found an unknown man sitting inside her parked vehicle about 9 p.m. Thursday. Borling-Salas fled, but patrol officers found him nearby at a Farrington Highway gas station.
3 men are injured in separate accidents
A two-vehicle accident on the H-2 freeway seriously injured a man Friday morning, according to an Emergency Medical Services report.
The accident happened in the southbound lanes of the H-2 near the Waianae offramp in Waipio at about 11:26 a.m. Paramedics took a 32-year-old man to the hospital in serious condition.
Earlier, a single-vehicle accident on Makakilo Drive sent two men, ages 20 and 22, to the hospital with serious injuries. Paramedics responded to the accident at Makakilo Drive and Palailai Street at 6:08 a.m.
