On the Scene: ‘Blood Brothers’ opens at Mamiya

Brother Gary Morris, left, director of Chaminade University's spring production of "Blood Brothers," met backstage with cast members Gabriel Giasolli, Kati White and Chase Bridgman after the opening-night performance Friday at Mamiya Theatre. Giasolli and Bridgman are consistently convincing whether playing boys who are "almost 8," the same two boys as teenagers or the pair as grown men. White does a stellar job in all respects -- acting, singing and dancing -- in the demanding role of their mother.
