Man charged in Palolo armed robbery
Prosecutors Thursday charged the second suspect arrested in last week’s armed robbery of a convenience store in Palolo Valley.
Reef Keliipuleole-Gasmen. 36, was being held in lieu of $250,000 bail. He was charged with first-degree robbery, third-degree promotion of a dangerous drug and second-degree assault.
According to police, two male suspects entered the Valley Market on 10th Avenue at about 7:35 a.m. March 20 and brandished a dangerous instrument. They assaulted a 64-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman working at the store before stealing property and fleeing. The first suspect, a 17-year-old boy, was arrested the night of the robbery.
