BYU-Hawaii finishes 12th at Goodyear
The BYU-Hawaii men’s golf team shot a team total of 899 (35 over) to finish in 12th place on Tuesday at the Western New Mexico Invitational, played at Palm Valley Golf Club in Goodyear, Ariz.
Western New Mexico took home the win by finishing at 3-under 861.
Alex Stulce and Matthew Jensen tied for 38th place in the individual standings at 8-over 220.
Other BYU-Hawaii golfers included Nicolas Herrera finishing 46th overall and Zane Loveland in 61st place.
UH Hilo women place 16th in California
The University of Hawaii Hilo women’s golf team finished 16th with a team total of 674 at the Sonoma State NCAA Spring Preview in Rohnert, Calif.
Shannon Abarra finished tied for 51st, shooting 166. Erin Costes and Andi Igawa both shot 167 to tie for 55th place for the Vulcans.
Barry University won the tournament with a team score of 608.
