Stabbing suspect is Washington resident
Police arrested a 39-year-old man from Washington state after a fight at a Waikiki hotel Tuesday night sent another man to the hospital with multiple stab wounds.
Paramedics took the 38-year-old victim to the hospital in serious condition at 8:38 p.m. with multiple wounds to his upper body, Emergency Medical Services reported.
Officers arrested the suspect, who listed a Puyallup, Wash., address, at the Waikiki Sands Resort on Nohonani Street. He was booked on suspicion of second-degree attempted murder at 9:15 p.m.
Surfer discovered near Kewalo Basin dies
A 56-year-old surfer died Wednesday morning after being pulled from waters near Kewalo Basin.
The man was taken to the hospital in critical condition following an apparent near drowning about 9 a.m., according to an Emergency Medical Services report.
The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office said the man died about 9:45 a.m. An autopsy will be conducted Thursday.
The man’s identity was not immediately available.
Driver arrested in ramming incident
Police arrested a 26-year-old woman after she allegedly tried to hit four people with a vehicle in Waimanalo on Monday evening.
Police said the suspect also rammed a parked car at a home on Waikaloa Street at about 5:30 p.m., causing $1,500 worth of damage.
Officers arrested the woman an hour later on suspicion of first-degree property damage and second-degree criminal property damage.
18-year-old detained for alleged threats
Police arrested an 18-year-old man for allegedly threatening a school worker at a Mililani school.
Officers arrested the teenager at his Mililani home Monday on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening.
Police said the incident occurred on March 13 and involved threats to a 48-year-old school employee.
The suspect was released pending further investigation.

Man charged in assault of Hilo resident
A Hilo man was charged Tuesday with three offenses in connection with a reported assault of a 43-year-old man at a house on Ohea Street.
Paul Sasaki, 42, was charged with assault, unlawful imprisonment and terroristic threatening. His bail was set at $12,000.
At about 8 p.m. Monday, the older man, also a Hilo resident, reported that he had been assaulted, held at knifepoint and threatened while at the home of an acquaintance whose residence is on Ohea Street. The victim managed to break free, leave the premises and call the police. At 8:40 p.m., police arrested Sasaki.
