Hawaii sets July records for visitor arrivals, spending
Last month was the highest July on record for the state in visitor spending and arrivals, the Hawaii Tourism Authority said Wednesday.
Visitor spending was up 2.6 percent to $1.35 billion, and arrivals were up 2.5 percent to 772,106 in July.
Year-to-date, the state is ahead of last year’s record-breaking pace for tourism, with nearly $212 million more in visitor expenditures and $23 million in additional tax revenue to the state, HTA said.
