Attempted murder suspect rearrested
A 30-year-old woman accused of trying to kill a woman with her car was arrested again Saturday on suspicion of violating a protective order.
Jill A. Hansen was arrested at 4:55 p.m. at the Women’s Community Correctional Center in Kailua. Her court date has been scheduled for Sept. 5 in Family Court.
Details of the protective order were not available.
On May 17, Hansen allegedly followed a woman, 73, into a secured parking garage at Diamond Head Apartments and hit the woman with her car as she got out of her vehicle.
Hansen was charged with second-degree attempted murder, vehicle break-in and car theft. She was denied bail.
A hearing has been set for Sept. 25 to determine her fitness to proceed to trial.
On May 19, while in custody, Hansen apparently attempted to slip out of the intake area of the Oahu Community Correctional Center as a staffer walked through the door that leads to the sally port. Prison staff members stopped her before she left the intake area.
On her Facebook page, which has since been removed, Hansen said she is a professional longboard surfer and model.
Police seek robber in Chinatown attack
Police are looking for a male who robbed a 35-year-old man early Sunday morning in Chinatown.
The incident happened about 1:15 a.m. The suspect struck the victim on the face with a blunt object, took the victim’s property and fled, police said. Police opened a first-degree robbery case.
