Senas signs with pro softball team
Mililani graduate and former Florida State softball standout Courtney Senas has signed with the Pennsylvania Rebellion of National Pro Fastpitch, the team announced Thursday.
Senas hit .316 in her career at FSU and sent the Seminoles to the Women’s College World Series last season with a walk-off homer in the final game of an NCAA Super Regional against Michigan. A two-time All-ACC pick, Senas finished second on FSU’s career home run chart with 36.
"I am just blessed to have the opportunity to play on a team because not a lot of people have the chance to play professionally," Senas said in a release. "It makes me happy that they believe in me and my ability to perform. I’m ready to start playing softball again, and I’m excited because it will be against the best of the best."
The five-team NPF season begins in late May and runs through mid August.
