Hawaii to play 3-game football series with Oregon
The University of Hawaii has signed to play a three-game football series with Oregon, the schools have confirmed.
The Rainbow Warriors will play in Eugene in 2020 and 2023 and the Ducks will come to Aloha Stadium in 2024.
“With so many players on our roster coming from Hawaii, it makes a lot of sense for us,” Oregon athletic director Rob Mullens has said. The Ducks had six players from Hawaii on their 2014 Pac-12 championship team. The team, including Heisman Trophy winner Marcus Mariota, played in the national championship game.
The team have not met since 1994.
The Ducks leads the series, 4-3.
