Kahuku got goals from four different players to beat the Cougars 4-2 in an OIA consolation match at Kahuku on Wednesday.
Gabriel Pinheiro-Alves, Mikel Sodini, Peter Hyatt and Stokes Nihipali-Botelho all scored for the Red Raiders, who earned a place in the Division I state tournament for the first time since 1997. Kaiser, which got goals from Chandler Furukawa and Cody Kuge, will miss the tournament for the first time since 2012.
Kahuku moves on to play Moanalua in the fifth place game on Friday at Kailua.
Moanalua 3, Castle 0
Zachariah Kaneshiro, Jeffrey Kotani and MacKenzie Elizares each scored goals and Moanalua overwhelmed Castle 3-0 in an OIA consolation game at Kailua on Wednesday.
Na Menehune earned a berth in the state tournament with the win and move on to play Kahuku for fifth place on Friday at Kailua.
Division II
Waialua 2, Farrington 0
Christian Calaro-Paracuelles scored in his third straight game and the Bulldogs shut out the Governors.
Waialua, which has won three games in a row and not given up a goal since December, will move on to play East top seed Kailua on Thursday for a state tournament berth and a place in the OIA championship. Farrington’s season is over. Caelan Alejandro also scored for Waialua.
Waipahu 1, McKinley 0, 2 OT
Isaiah Harris scored in the second overtime to lead the Marauders over the Tigers.
Waipahu, the third seed in the West, will face top seed Waianae on Thursday at Kailua for a state berth and a spot in the OIA championship.
