The Honokaa Dragons outscored Kailua 5-3 in penalty kicks to defeat the Surfriders 3-2 in the quarterfinals of the Outrigger Resorts/HHSAA Boys Soccer State Championships at Waipio Soccer Park.
Goals by Naia Graham (18th and 37th minutes) gave Kailua a 2-0 lead.
But Preston Branco helped bring Honokaa back with goals in the 47th and 65th minutes.
Honokaa will play Kamehameha-Hawaii in a semifinal at 1 p.m. at Waipio’s main stadium.
Kamehameha-Hawaii 2, Seabury Hall 1
Chance Aguiar-Chartrand scored in the 31st minute and Dominik Pajimola found the back of the net a minute later and the Warriors held off the Spartans.
Mackenzie Wilson shaved the deficit in half for Seabury Hall with a goal in the 57th minute.
Mid-pacific 6, waipahu 0
Five different Owls scored in a rout of the Marauders.
Sterling Aponte started the scoring with a goal in the 14th minute. Dylan Teves followed with a goal in the 27th minute. He also tallied in the 79th minute. Tyler Allen (29th), Payton Boyd (41st) and Riley Kainoa Behler (45th) also scored.
Hawaii Prep 1, Kapaa 0
Justin Perry scored in the 28th minute to lift Ka Makani past the Warriors.
